VAP November Book Club - The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells

Join VA Polyamory [VAP] for afternoon tea, snacks, and chatting about books.

This book club is a public event hosted at a public library. Even if you are not a member of VAP, you are welcome to attend.

The book for November is All Systems Red, book 1 of The Muderbot Diaries by Martha Wells.

The novellas are often short, quick reads. We will plan to start with only book 1 (All Systems Red) but will adapt to match if everyone reads further in the series.

> On a distant planet, a team of scientists are conducting surface tests, shadowed by their Company-supplied ‘droid — a self-aware SecUnit that has hacked its own governor module, and refers to itself (though never out loud) as “Murderbot.” Scornful of humans, all it really wants is to be left alone long enough to figure out who it is. But when a neighboring mission goes dark, it's up to the scientists and their Murderbot to get to the truth.
